Local Catholics join national prayer for the unborn

SALT LAKE CITY — On Jan. 22 – the 39th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion in the United States – Catholics throughout the nation gathered to recite the rosary to pray for an end to abortion. More than 10,000 gathered at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception for the opening Mass of the National Prayer Vigil for Life. Cardinal Daniel DiNardo, archbishop of Galveston-Houston and chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Pro-Life Activities, was the principal celebrant.

Their artwork is displayed using the student’s first initial and a number through an online art gallery called Artsonia.
