Juan Diego Soaring Eagles remain undefeated; beat the Judge Memorial Catholic High School Bulldogs 34-12

SALT LAKE CITY — The Juan Diego Catholic High School Soaring Eagle team remains undefeated so far this season. They are considered the best team in Class 3A. The Soaring Eagle are 5-0, haven’t been challenged and are heading toward another state title.

HOLLADAY — The Carmelite fair, which is the annual fundraiser for eight Carmelite nuns at the Carmel of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Monastery, was held on a beautiful sunny day Sept. 20 in Holladay. Many volunteers did not credit the pleasant weather to mother nature, but to the intercession of Mary, Blessed Mother.

Ricard of Pensacola, visited Zimbabwe on behalf of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) from Aug. 28 to Sept. 6. They were joined by Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, Archbishop Emeritis of Washington, D.C., in South Africa Aug. 28 to Sept. 6.

Intermountain Catholic editor is dedicated, loyal

SALT LAKE CITY — The first time I introduced myself to Barbara Stinson Lee, editor of the Intermountain Catholic, I was a fledgling development director for Judge Memorial Catholic High School. I was hoping to learn more about the Intermountain Catholic, and discern how the school might be able to use it to communicate to the rest of the diocese.
