UN Day celebrates diversity

SANDY — Blessed Sacrament School celebrated United Nations Day on Oct. 27. Nationally, United Nations Day is celebrated each year on Oct. 24, marking the anniversary of the UN Charter that came into being in 1945. At Blessed Sacrament School, students and staff celebrate their diversity and Community of Caring. This year’s event, organized by Jennifer Rodriguez, included a number of parent volunteers setting up tables representing their countries of origin. Presentations included their country’s flag, memorabilia and gaming materials. Students spent lunch recess playing games from around the world.
