Saint Joseph Catholic High School is presenting 'The Madwoman of Chaillot.'

Saint Joseph Catholic High School’s fall play is “The Madwoman of Chaillot.” Written by Jean Giradoux in 1942 during the Nazi occupation of Paris, this fantasy play will delight you with its memorable characters and surprise you with its relevance. The plot is simple: A greedy prospector has discovered oil under the city of Paris. Out of their greed for power and wealth, he and his corporate brothers are scheming to get their hands on that oil, even if it means the destruction of the city. There is only one woman who can save the day, and she will...if she can just find her feather boa! Directed by Jennifer Perry. The show runs Thursday - Saturday, Oct. 14-16, and Wednesday through Saturday, Oct. 20-23. All performances begin at 7 p.m. sharp.

Appropriate for all ages, though very young children may have a hard time staying engaged.

The Mystery of Edwin Drood

“Drood” is the musical interpretation of an unfinished Charles Dickens novel that incorporating elements of mystery and drama, set in the Victorian era. Judge Memorial Catholic High School Music Hall Royale presents its rendition of an unfinished Dickens mystery. The story itself deals with John Jasper, a Jekyll-and-Hyde choirmaster who is madly in love with his music student, the fair Miss Rosa Bud. Miss Bud is, in turn, engaged to Jasper’s nephew, young Edwin Drood. The plot thickens when Edwin disappears one stormy night – but has Edwin Drood been murdered?

And if so, then whodunit?! Winner of five Tony Awards, this musical is a hilarious mystery with a unique twist – the audience gets to choose the ending!

The Curtains are Friday-Sunday, Nov. 12-14, Thursday, Nov. 18 and Saturday, Nov. 20. All performances at 7 p.m. except Sunday, Nov. 14, which is at 2 p.m.
