SALT LAKE CITY — Samuel Suazo, 82, passed away July 16, 2012.

Suazo was born July 13, 1920 in New Mexico to Crescencio Suazo and Vitalia Barela. He married Annie Martinez Feb. 23, 1948 and served in the U.S. Army during WWII.

Suazo is survived by his wife, daughter Evelyn (Ruben Guerra), sister Ageda Martinez and brother Daniel Suazo.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
