OGDEN — Robert "Bob" Earl Clancy, 77, died Jan. 27.

Clancy was born Oct. 21, 1931, to Earl Joseph Clancy and Helena Mary Engler. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1959. He married Metta Joan Joni Jan. 1, 1955, in Shumway, Ill. He was a graduate of Bradley University. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of Serra International, and prayer ministry. He served as an executive for the United Way.

He is survived by his wife, Metta Joan; son, Jesuit Father Tim Clancy; two daughters, Terry Clancy, and Lori (Terry) Kennedy; one son-in-law, Jim Calder; six grandchildren, Maureen Ranks, Eric Ranks, Ian Tabaracci, Samantha Calder, Maggie Calder, and Jack Kennedy; one brother, Larry Clancy; two sisters, Mary Ellen Polonus, and Kay (Larry) Shank; and one sister-in-law, Colleen Clancy.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint James Catholic Church. Interment was in the Evergreen Memorial Park.
