Prayers for Japan

In the name of all the faithful in the Diocese of Salt Lake City, I extend our heartfelt condolences to those who have lost loved ones in the tragic events that have taken place in Japan this past week. Our prayers, concern and support are with all of our fellow human beings who are suffering from the aftermath of the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan, as well as the ongoing dangers that are unfolding as a result of the nuclear power plant breakdowns. It is impossible to fathom the horror that people in Japan are experiencing as they deal with this unimaginable catastrophe and the aftershocks that continue to occur. May our loving and provident God bring healing and protection to the citizens of Japan and to those who are coming to their rescue.
