On Sept. 11, the students and staff of Blessed Sacrament School in Sandy gathered in the hallway for a special prayer service to pray for those who serve in the armed services, police officers, firefighters, public servants and for those who have given their lives to keep the United States safe and free. Following prayer, the students recited the Pledge of Allegiance and then sang the "Star-Spangled Banner." Each class had a representative hold their classroom flag. The students were dressed in red, white and blue as they commemorated 9/11 and paid tribute to those who serve.
