Happy 65th Birthday! Michael J. Stransky, parishioner at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, celebrated his 65th birthday Oct. 25. He is president of GSBS Architects, which in May was chosen to help oversee the design and construction of Salt Lake City’s new public safety building and emergency operations center. He and his wife, Carolyn, just stepped down as chairs of the Cathedral’s Diocesan Development Drive committee after 12 years. Double Birthday Wishes! Rob and Ray Hibl, owners of Park City Coffee Roaster, will be celebrating their 40th birthday on Oct. 29. Stop by the PCCR to wish them a happy birthday. Roman Holiday! Sister Celine Dounies CSC, a 4th grade teacher at St. John the Baptist who lives in the Vivian Skaggs Armstrong Convent in Draper, was one of 12 Holy Cross Sisters chosen to attend the canonization of Brother Andre Bessette, CSC in Rome on Oct. 17. Going North! Sisters Bernadette Mulick, Karla McKinnie, Martha Ann Norwood and Miriam Joanne Frankenfield, CSC are going to Montreal to participate in the local celebration of St. Andre Bessette, which takes place on Oct. 30. Sr. Karla is principal of Saint Andrew School in Riverton. Sisters Miriam Joanne and Martha Ann live at the Holy Cross Convent in Murray; Sr. Miriam works as parish nurse coordinator for Holy Cross Ministries. Sr. Martha does RCIA and Bible Study at St. Martin de Porres. She used to work at St. Joseph Villa. Sr. Bernadette is a physician’s assistant.
