SALT LAKE CITY — Ophelia Garcia Montoya, 80, died Oct. 16.She was a member of St. Patrick Parish, Salt Lake City. Montoya was born Aug. 24, 1926, in Salt Lake City to Ramon and Aurelia Santillanes Garcia. She was an active member of the Mexican Civic Center during the 1960s and 1970s, and served as president for two years. She will be greatly missed by all her family. She is survived by her children, Tony (Louise), Dennis (Natalie), David (Leona), Sandra Gonzales, Carol Montoya, Gene, Rose (Bob) Curry, and Cindy (Barney) Martinez; daughter-in-law, Alice Montoya; 48 grandchildren; 85 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Albert, Joe, and Raul; sisters, Josie, Adeline, Amelia, Alice, and Mary Lou. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Patrick Church. Committal was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
