Judge Lee Pea

SALT LAKE CITY — Judge Lee (Pat) Pea, 81, died the end of September 2010.

Pea was born Sept. 3, 1929, in Mansfield, La. He had fond memories of his childhood fishing and playing with his brothers and sisters. He loved all sports, but his favorite was football; a passion he passed on to his children and grandchildren. He worked many years at Clover Club Foods as a Maintenance Supervisor. He prided himself on the donations that were made in the community by his company. After Clover Club, he went on to work at CBI Security for Touched by an Angel, and received numerous awards for his hard work and dedication including his most beloved award for the best hugger. He embraced every day with a smile and positive attitude with a laugh that was contagious. He was a member of the Utah Travelers singing group singing bass.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Elaine; son Jerry (Rose); daughters Yolanda (Reggie), Debra (Steve), Lorraine (Demetrius) and Pamela; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sisters Polly White and Equilla Brown.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Oct. 1.

Eva Delliskave Alberico

SALT LAKE CITY — Eva Delliskave Alberico, 90, died Sept. 21, 2010. She was a lifetime member of Saint Vincent de Paul Parish.

Alberico was born Sept. 16, 2010, in Murray to Felix and Lucy Dipetro Delliskave. She graduated from Granite High School in 1938. She married Delfino Alberico on April 11, 1940, after meeting him at a softball game in Murray Park. She and Del enjoyed times spent with their St. Vincent Parish friends bowling and golfing. They worked together at their farm on Vine Street. She was a very sweet woman who opened her heart and home to everyone. She was an excellent cook and always invited everyone who stopped by to join her family for dinner. She was always excited to see her grandchildren and they loved her home cooking.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Interment was in Mount Calvary Catholic Mausoleum.

Madeline Gini Overbey

MAGNA — Madeline Gini Overbey, 80, died Sept. 29, 2010. She was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Magna.

Overbey was born April 6, in Tinley Park, Ill., to Joseph Louis and Elizabeth Dini Gini. She married Charles Robert Overbey June 27, 1953, in Blue Island, Ill; he died Oct. 10, 1995. She always enjoyed socializing with friends, neighbors and family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Robert (Kim) Overby and Joyce (Steve) Rasmussen; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and brother Louis Gini.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Magna. Committal was in Valley View Memorial Park.

Viola Ann Tollis

SALT LAKE CITY — Viola Ann Tollis, 86, died of natural causes Sept. 28, 2010.

Tollis was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on Aug. 1, 1924, to Anna and Victor Kirby. She married Remo Tollis on Feb. 23, 1946. They had three children. One of her children died as a child, and Tollis’ never healed from the grief of her passing.

Tollis was very artistic and found her creative release mostly through sewing. She created elaborate costumes for theatrical performances and crafted one-of-a-kind heirloom wedding gowns. She worked for many years at the University of Utah and was very proud of her work with the Department of Artificial Organs. She used her extensive sewing skills to fabricate some of the very first artificial heart valves. After retirement, she served as a volunteer for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City and enjoyed comforting NICU babies at St. Mark’s Hospital. She loved spending time in her garden.

She is survived by her children Tom (Eileen) Tollis and Tina (Michael) Vigos; four grandchildren Beth (John) Korinek and their three boys, Connor, Jack and Shane; Greg (Julie) Tolis and their four children, Emily, Joshua, Madison, and Gabriella; Jeff Tollis and Nick (Heather) Tollis.

A Memorial Mass was celebrated at CHRISTUS Saint Joseph Villa.
