Mary Dorothy Jensen Farmer

SALT LAKE CITY — Mary Dorothy Jensen Farmer, 91, died March 11.

Farmer was born Feb. 11, 1918, to James M. and Catherine M. Biddle Clements in Owensboro, Ky. She married James L. Jensen Aug. 2, 1941, in Chicago, Ill. He was killed in action in 1944, on Peleliu Island during World War II. She moved to Southern California where she met and married Eugene E. Farmer. She was fun to be with and cared deeply for her family and friends. She was an expert seamstress and loved sewing for her children, grandchildren, and daughters-in-law. She also loved watching her boys play sports.

She is survived by her sons, James L. (Jean) Jensen IV, Eugene Farmer, Stephen Farmer, Garden Grove, Calif.; two grandchildren, Catherine Heidi Jensen, and James "Larry" (Nichol) Jensen V; brothers, Robert Clements, John (Myrtle) Clements; sister-in-law, Betty Clements; grandchildren, Lisa Deramo, Andrea Deramo, Chad Boyd and Leann Boyd.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at CHRISTUS St. Joseph Villa. Committal was in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
