SALT LAKE CITY — Manual E. Garcia,86, died April 7, 2007. He was a member of Saint Patrick Parish. Garcia was born Jan. 10, 1921, to Victorio and Frances Compero Garcia. He married Juanita Hernandez June 28, 1941. He served in World War II in Europe. He was a devout Catholic, and kind and giving man. Garcia played the guitar in a small band, and belonged to the Knights of Columbus. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 40 years. He was a crossing guard for the city for 18 years. He is survived by his wife; sons, Jesse, Ernie, Richard (Sandra), Gilbert; daughters, Diana (Farold) Adams, Rosalie (Leo) Salazar; brothers, Cruz and Frank; sisters, Lucy, Sally (Leonard) Ricardi; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Patrick Catholic Church. Committal was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
