Leprechaun Lope to celebrate 25th year

SALT LAKE CITY — Join the sea of green and start your St. Patrick’s Day celebration at the Leprechaun Lope – the only race with real leprechauns. This 10K and 5K race and 2-mile fun run has been a Salt Lake tradition for 25 years. Proceeds benefit Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. A record number of people are expected this year to don their green gear and craziest Leprechaun garb to run (or walk) in the event.

WHEN: 8:30 a.m. Saturday, March 15

WHERE: From the State Capitol to Memory Grove

COST: $15 for kids 14 and under, $25 for adults; $35 for everyone after March 9.
