Stations of the Cross — Fridays during Lent at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. 6 p.m. in English, 7 p.m. in Spanish except Feb. 23, when there will be a bilingual celebration at 6 p.m.

Adult Lenten Study of the Gospel of John — Tuesday, Feb. 20, 6:30-7:30 p.m. at The Madeleine Choir School, 205 E. First Ave., SLC. This is the first of a six-week discussion of John’s account of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection. Led by Dr. Brandon Peterson, assistant professor of religious studies at University of Utah. Marian Lenten Retreat — Tuesday-Thursday, Feb. 20-22, 7-8:30 each evening at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4050 South 3900 West, West Haven. Speakers from the Father Kolbe Missionaries of the Immaculata. For information, call 801-621-7961.

Lenten Retreat — Saturday, Feb. 24, 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 138 North 100 West, Vernal. The retreat will focus on Ignatian spirituality and will raise awareness of how Ignatian spirituality points to the Eucharist. Free. Lunch is provided. Pre-register by Feb. 16. Diocesan Lenten Retreat — Saturday, March 23, 9 a.m. to noon in English and 1 to 4 p.m. in Spanish at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 E. Spring Lane, Holladay. The presenter for the English session will be Fr. Ray John Marek, OMI; the presenter for the Spanish session will be Fr. Alfredo Basualdo.
