SALT LAKE CITY — Janet Hamilton "Nana" Pigott, 90, died Jan. 26. Pigott was born in 1917 in Boston, Mass., to Catherine Burke and Weward Hamilton, an only child. She was preceded in death by her first-born son, who was killed in Vietnam, and by her husband, Melvin. She was an exuberant and very lively character to the very end. She served in the U.S. Navy as a WAVE during World War II. She was a volunteer at Salt Lake Regional Hospital for many years. She will be missed by a large circle of family and friends. She is survived by her sons Peter Pigott and John Pigott; grandchildren, Charles, Rachel, David, Stacy, Christopher, John, and Andrew; and great-grandchildren, Mason, and Miranda. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Interment was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
