SAINT GEORGE — Gloria H. Deru, 89, passed away Jan. 23, 2014. Deru was born Aug. 17, 1924 in San Francisco, Calif. to Sam and Hazel Hansen. She married Peter Quillinan in 1943. Nine years after he passed away in 1955, she married John Deru. Deru was a dedicated member of the Saint George Parish and was involved in many different charities. Deru is survived by eight children, 24 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass was celebrated at the St. George Catholic Church.
