WEST VALLEY CITY — Gerald Buchowski, 78, died Aug. 28, after a short illness. He was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish. Buchowski was born May 30, 1930, in Hamtramck, Mich. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1954 during the Korean conflict. He married Rose Marie Jan. 10, 1959. He spent 48 years in the automotive industry in design and quality assurance. He was a member of the American Legion Post 71. He is survived by his wife; two sisters, Beverly Gearhart and Linda (Earl) Wojciechowski. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Entombment was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
