Gary Don Salser

SALT LAKE CITY — Gary Don Salser, 68, died Sept. 9, following a short illness.

Salser was born April 23, 1940, in Soda Springs, Idaho. He attended Idaho State College, Utah State University, and Weber State University. He served in the Utah National Guard. Salser worked for Thiokol for several years before becoming a salesman and sales manager for Primrose Sonntag Wholesale Jewelers for more than 30 years. He spent the last five years of his life as a salesman at John Paras Furniture. He married Patricia Lynn Hall Dec. 13, 1958. Salser saw the best in everyone he met. He was an active member of Saint Catherine Newman Center, where he was active in many ministries. His Newman family was very special to him.

He is survived by his wife; two children, Donald Troy Salser, and Tracey Lynn (Gordon) Terry; three grandchildren, Kimber, Chase, and Ryan; sisters, Joan Davis, and Carolyn (Gene) Puls, of Idaho; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Michael and Gwen Hall of Bountiful; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Catherine Parish and Newman Center. Committal was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
