Feast of Christ the King Adoration and Benediction at Cathedral

SALT LAKE CITY — On Sunday November 25th, the Solemnity of Christ the King and close of the liturgical year, the Cathedral will conduct Adoration of the Eucharist beginning at the conclusion of the 11:00 a.m. Mass and continuing through Vespers and Benediction at 5:00 PM. All are invited to spend time in prayer during the afternoon before our eucharistic Lord. Vespers will be sung at 5:00 p.m.

Drawing upon the rich heritage of plainsong, polyphony and other choral literatures, the clergy, choir, and people will celebrate this ancient evening rite in the spacious beauty of the cathedral. The choir, under the direction of Gregory Glenn will perform musical works of Peter Hallock, George Oldroyd, and Tomas Luis de Victoria. Organist Douglas O’Neill will perform on the Cathedral’s Eccles Memorial Organ.
