SALT LAKE CITY — Eugene E. Pacioni, 86, died Sept. 8, at home. Pacioni was born May 24, 1922, to Giovanni and Nina Jacketta Pacioni in Magna. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from Kennecott Copper Corp., ore haulage division, with 43 years of service. He married Ester C. Malmstrom March 25, 1949. She died April 8, 2008. He was a devoted husband, father, and brother. He is survived by his daughters, Kathleen (Rock) Martinez, and Tina (Joe) Robbins; four grandchildren, Andrew, Ryan, and Anthony Robbins, and Nina Street; four great-grandchildren; brother, Ernest (Colleen) Pacioni; sister, Eileen Rice; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church. Committal was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
