Ermelinda "Erma" Vigil Leyba

SALT LAKE CITY — Ermelinda “Erma” Vigil Leyba, 95, passed away on July 27, 2015.

Leyba was born on Nov. 22, 1919 to Leandro Vigil and Higinia Trujillo in Cundiyo, N.M. She married Frederico Leyba on Aug. 23, 1946 in Las Trampas, N.M. She worked at E & J Manufacturing.

Leyba is survived by her seven children: Darlene (Joe), Rosie, Christine (Harold), Stephen (Naomi), Edna, (Leonard), MaryLou, and Fred; her sisters-in-law, Sue Romero and Beatrice Lopez; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings Maggie, Guadalupe (“Lupe”), Willie, Bonifacio and Felix. 

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church.
