Darlene Teresa Allam Meyers, 86, died on April 1, 2018 at home next to loved ones from complications due to cancer; she battled to the end.

Darlene led a blessed and charmed life and anyone who knew her warmed to her sincere and loving nature; she had a unique kindness about her.

Born in Salt Lake City on May 21, 1931 to Michael and Amelia Allam, she graduated from Judge Memorial Catholic High School in 1950 and went to work at Continental Bank downtown for 18 years, when she met and married Hal Edward Meyers on September 20, 1961. She accompanied him to Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo. while he fulfilled his Army obligations. She and Hal traveled extensively, visiting Italy, Ireland and many national landmarks; they also followed the University of Utah football team throughout the western United States as members of the Crimson Club.

She was a devout Catholic whose faith never waned. She leaves behind a loving beautiful legacy.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, sister Patricia Snarr, brothers-in-law William Snarr and Lynn Wright, and parents-in-law Esther and Harold Meyers.

She is survived by her husband, Hal; sons Michael and Patrick (Amy); daughter Ann Marie; eight grandchildren; brothers Richard (Phyllis) and Robert Allam; sister Lorraine Wright; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all the nurses, aides, and staff at First Choice Health for their loving support and assistance during this difficult time.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on April 5, 2018 at St. Jude Maronite Catholic Church.
