8th Annual Fall Festival — Saturday, Sept. 14, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. at Saint Lawrence Church, 100 W. Center St. in Heber City. Games, petting zoo, face painting, Pawsatch Snow Dog rides for the children, beer garden, farmer’s market, silent auction, and more. The money raised at this event will be used for upkeep and repairs of the church building.
Carmelite Fair — Sunday, Sept. 15, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Carmelite Monastery, 5714 Holladay Blvd., SLC. Saint Marguerite Fall Festival — Friday, Sept. 20, 5-11 p.m. and Saturday 21, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. at 15 S. 7th St., Tooele. Food booths, country store and bakery, religious goods, raffle baskets, children’s carnival, art contest and live entertainment.
Prayer walk for immigrants — Sunday, Sept. 8, 4-6 p.m., beginning at the St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen, 235 S. Rio Grande St., SLC and ending with Mass at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple. The 2.2-mile "Journey of Hope with Immigrants and the Poor" is organized by the Diocese of Salt Lake City Peace and Justice Commission.
Fall Steak Fry — Sunday, Sept. 8, at 4 p.m. at the home of Mary Evans, 4950 Old Post Road, Ogden. Hosted by the Saint Joseph Catholic High School Boosters. Cost is $22.50 per person.
Lecture Series — Monday, Sept. 9, 7 p.m. at the Saint Vincent de Paul Benvegnu Center, 1385 Spring Lane, SLC. The first in this series will be "Stewardship in the Gospel of Luke," presented by Deacon Michael Bulson.

Parish Mission — Sept. 15-18, at 7 p.m. nightly at Holy Family Parish, 1100 East 5550 South, Ogden. The mission will be conducted by Redemptorist Father Joseph Butz, who also will speak at the Sunday Masses.
"Convalidation Strategies" — Thursday, Sept. 19, 11 a.m. in the Bishop Federal Room, 27 C St., SLC. The Family Life Office will host a conference call, "Convalidation Strategies – How to Bring Marriages into the Church." The call should last one hour with discussion afterwards. Bring a lunch, drinks will be provided.
Saint Joseph Schools Golf Tournament — Sunday, Sept. 22, 7:30 a.m. with Mass at the Ogden Golf and Country Club, 4197 S. Washington Blvd., Ogden.
