The Sacrament of Confirmation — for adult Catholics (no one younger than 18) will be celebrated on Saturday, May 4 and Saturday, June 1 at the Cathedral of the Madeleine. Both Masses will be at 1 p.m. This celebration is for adults who are seeking the Sacrament of Confirmation. The opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Eucharist for the first time will also be celebrated for those adult Catholics seeking to complete their Christian initiation. Information on classes is available through your parish. 

Irish Night With the Poets — Saturday, May 4 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 670 South 1100 East, SLC. Doors open at 7 p.m.; the reading begins at 7:30 p.m. Free, but donations accepted for the parish. The King’s English Bookstore will have books of Irish poetry, literature and history available for purchase.

The Choir of the Cathedral of the Madeleine and the Choristers of the Madeleine Choir School will perform Gerald Finzi’s “Magnificat” and Benjamin Britten’s “St. Nicholas.” Free and open to the public.
