Holy Land pilgrimage — Saint Rose of Lima Parish in Layton is planning a 10-day pilgrimage to the Holy Land Nov. 7, 2011. The cost for the trip is $3,395 including the round trip flight, most meals, Bethlehem, four days in Jerusalem, and more. Pilgrimage to Sicily and Italy — Oct. 17-28, with Msgr. Robert Servatius, pastor of Blessed Sacrament Parish, Sandy. The pilgrimage will visit many historical sites, cities and prominent landmarks. In Rome there will be an audience with the pope, tours of St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican museums, the Sistine Chapel and other major basilicas. St. Jude Maronite Catholic Church two-day celebration — Wednesday, Feb. 9, Vespers, at 6 p.m.; Sunday, Feb. 13, Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Jude Maronite Catholic Church, 4900 Wasatch Street, Murray. This celebration is for parishioners, friends and neighbors in honor of the Jubilee Year of 1600 years of St. Maron. Our guest celebrant is Father Abdalla Zaidan from our co-Cathedral, Our Lady of Mt. Lebanon in Los Angeles, Calif.
