Happy Anniversary! Fr. James E. Blaine, pastor of Saint Peter Parish and chaplain of the Utah State Prison, will celebrate the 38th anniversary of his priestly ordination on April 30; Fr. Charles T. Cummins, administrator of the Weber State University Newman Center, will celebrate the 47th anniversary of his priestly ordination on April 27; Fr. Arokia Dass David, parochial vicar of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus Parish, will celebrate the 6th anniversary of his priestly ordination on April 25; Fr. Hernando Diaz, pastor of Saint Bridget Parish, Saint John Bosco Parish and Holy Family Mission, will celebrate the 44th anniversary of his priestly ordination on April 17; Fr. Lourduraj Gally Gregory, pastor of Saint Patrick Parish, will celebrate the 27th anniversary of his priestly ordination on April 22; Fr. Donald E. Hope, pastor of Notre Dame de Lourdes Parish and administrator of San Rafael Mission and Good Shepard Parish, will celebrate the 39th anniversary of his priestly ordination on April 24; Fr. Eleazar Silva, pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, will celebrate the 14th anniversary of his priestly ordination on April 7; Fr. Andrzej Skrzypiec, pastor of Saint Ambrose Parish, will celebrate the 33rd anniversary of his priestly ordination on April 8; and Msgr. Michael J. Winterer, retired, will celebrate the 55th anniversary of his priestly ordination on April 30.

On the Silver Screen! David Jenny, a senior at Judge Memorial CHS, won first prize in the National Senior Shorts Film Competition for his short film, “CreamPuff,” which he wrote, directed and edited.

Finalists! Erin Dugan, Judge Memorial CHS Class of 2012, and Matthew Kirkegaard, Class of 2011, have been nominated as finalists for the 2015 Truman Scholarship.

High Note! Lauren Rathbun, Madeleine Choir School alumna, placed first in the Upper College Classical division and in the Upper College Musical Theater division at the Northern Utah National Association of Teachers of Singing.

Feel the Rhythm! The Juan Diego CHS Jazz Band scored straight Superiors at the Regional Jazz Festival. 
 
Requiescant in Pace! In keeping with Catholic tradition, we remember the anniversaries of death for deceased clergy who served the Diocese of Salt Lake City, especially those whose anniversaries are this month. They are: Fr. William H. Flegge, April 4, 2009; Fr. Charles E. Freegard, April 9, 1996; Msgr. Joseph I. Grosseln, April 27, 1956; Fr. Thomas J. Kaiser, April 5, 2008; Fr. Francis R. Lamothe, April 25, 1995; Fr. Patrick J. Mannion, April 6, 1918; Fr. Francis X. Richard, April 18, 1969; Fr. William K. Ryan, April 1, 1915 and Deacon Leonard J. Henzke, April 9, 1982.
