Dedication of Monticello Church

Bishop Oscar A. Solis will dedicate the new St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monticello on Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. The new church replaces the old building, an 80-year-old structure that was demolished. Construction on the new church was completed in 2015, but the dedication was put on hold until the 10th Bishop of Salt Lake City was appointed. That occurred in March, so the dedication has been scheduled at the church, 365 S. Main St. in Monticello. The pastor is Father Rowland Nwokocha, who also ministers to St. Pius X Parish in Moab.
