Celebrating a Century

Gwen Torman, a St. James the Just parishioner, was honored Jan. 19 for her 100th birthday. She has been a member of the parish for the past 65 years and is a great example of a faithful Catholic, said the pastor, Fr. Erik Richtsteig. “She is great. You don’t have to do everything in order to be a good follower of Jesus. She is a champ,” he said referring to the fact that Torman attends Mass and Adoration every day. At the celebration, Torman was accompanied by family members, and many parishioners attended to wish her well.
