Game Night — Friday, Oct. 16, at St. Thomas More Parish’s Meyer Hall, 3015 E. Creek Road, Sandy. Doors open at 6 p.m.; play begins at 6:45 p.m. Cost: $14 per person, which includes dinner and games.  Must be 18 years or older to play.

Liturgical Musician Workshop — Saturday, Oct. 17, 9 a.m. – noon at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church, 1975 South 2300 East, SLC. Sponsored by the diocesan Office of Liturgy. Two sessions: one for vocalists by Melanie Melinka; the other for guitarists, facilitated by Steven Penderghast and Bill Kaiser. $10 fee; pre-registration required by Oct. 12. DCCW Council Sunday — On Sunday, Oct. 18, parish and diocesan women’s organizations are asked to plan special events aimed at recognizing the good works they do, while increasing awareness and participation in their organization. Contact your organization president to see what is planned for your group. Any parish needing assistance in rejuvenating or starting a women’s council is asked to contact the DCCW president, Bonnie Siegrist, at utahbonnie@comcast.net.

Organ Fest VIII — Friday, Oct. 23, 8 p.m. at The Cathedral of the Madeleine at 309 E. South Temple, SLC. Features organists from the Salt Lake Tabernacle – Richard Elliott, Clay Christiansen, Andrew Unsworth, Bonnie Goodliffe and Linda Margetts, and the Cathedral of the Madeleine organist, Gabriele Terrone. The concert is free and open to the public.

CWL Luncheon — Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Little America Hotel, 500 S. Main St., SLC. Social hour is 11 a.m., followed by lunch and fashion show; $38 per person. Beneficiaries are Our Lady of Lourdes Parish (SLC)and St. Therese of the Child Jesus Parish. Mail reservations, payment and seating requests by Oct. 19 to Patty Martinez, 934 E. Octoberfest Dinner — sponsored by Knights of Columbus Council 10304. All are invited. Life in the Spirit Seminar — The Sacred Heart Prayer Group is sponsoring a Life in the Spirit seminar, Saturday, Oct. 24, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at St. Mary’s Old Town Chapel, 121 Park Ave., Park City. St. Joseph Villa Volunteer Luncheon — “Oldies but Goodies” is the theme for this year’s St. Joseph Villa Volunteer Fall Luncheon Fundraiser. Saturday, Nov. 7, at St. Ambrose Parish’s social center, 1975 South 2300 East, SLC. Social hour starts at 11 a.m.; lunch is at noon, catered by Midvale Mining Company Restaurant. Parish Mission — Nov. 9-12, 7-8:30 p.m. each night at San Andres Catholic Church, 315 East 100 North, Payson. “Waiting Upon God in the Advent Season” will be presented by Fr. J. Patrick Foley, Ph.D. All ages are welcome. Free-will donations gratefully accepted at the conclusion of the last conference to help defray the cost of the mission.
