Solemnity of Pentecost — Sunday, June 9. Check your parish for Mass times.

Rosary and Holy Hour — Sunday, June 16, 3 p.m. at the Carmelite monastery, 5714 Holladay Blvd., SLC. All are invited to join the Knights of Columbus Council #5214 and the Carmelite nuns to praise God, honor His Mother and pray for our Holy Catholic Church.

Carmelite Monastery Barbecue — Saturday, June 22, 6 p.m. The friends of Sister Mary Joseph will be celebrating the memory of Sister and the Carmelite monastery with a barbecue of New York strip loin and grilled King salmon and fixings. Cost: $22. Call Tom Catrow for reservations, 801-688-3184.  

Unity Festival — Saturday, June 22, 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. and Sunday, June 23, 11:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 7405 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan. Car show, food booths, craft booths, beer booth, live music, games, entertainment. Entry is free.

Victor Marquez Memorial Golf Tournament – To benefit Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Magna. Saturday, June 22. 8 a.m. shotgun start. $90 per golfer/$100 at the door (includes cart, lunch, and drinks). St. Joseph CHS Annual Picnic — Saturday, June 22 at the school, 1790 Lake St, Ogden.  Open to all alumni and families.  $10 adults/$5 kids under 12.  Social hour 6-7 p.m.; barbecue at 7 p.m.

Catholic Utah Picnic — Sunday, June 23, 4:30 p.m. at Canyon Rim Park (east pavilion), 3100 South 2900 East, SLC. Taco truck; free dessert. All are welcome. Sign up at CatholicUtah.org.

Life is Worth Living Seminar — Monday, June 24, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at St. Marguerite Parish’s social hall, 15 S. 7th St., Tooele. All are invited to join the Knights of Columbus Council #6739 to learn what you, your family and friends can do to help support the Church’s mission to protect and support life, and prevent suicide through education and early intervention.

Summer Outdoor Boutique — Saturday, June 29, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the St. Patrick Catholic Church parking lot, 1058 West 400 South, SLC. Hosted by the parish youth. Ladies of Charity Barbecue and Bake Sale — Sunday, June 30, 12:30 p.m. at St. Olaf Parish’s McNamara Center, 1800 S. Orchard Dr., Bountiful. $7 per person; $20 per family. Proceeds benefit the Center of Hope in North Salt Lake – serving those in need. 

Social Action Summer Institute — “Two Feet, One Voice: Building a Home for All.” July 25-28 at the University of Utah, 110 S. Fort Douglas Blvd., Salt Lake City. Annual Men’s Retreat — Aug. 9-11 sponsored by St. Mary Parish in West Haven, Utah, under the direction of Fr. Gustavo Vidal, pastor, at its annual site in Bloomington, Idaho. The bilingual Spanish/English retreat, open to all men in the Diocese of Salt Lake City, will be based on the “Seven Deadly Sins, Seven Lively Virtues” study book by Bishop Robert Barron. Lay Ecclesial Ministry Program Accepting Applications — The diocesan Office of Faith Formation is accepting applications for the Lay Ecclesial Ministry Program (LEM). This four-year leadership development program includes online studies through the McGrath Institute for Church Life at Notre Dame and  monthly class meetings. Participants grow in their spiritual lives through retreats and spiritual direction. Secular Carmelite Community — Men and women interested in a deeper spiritual prayer life are invited to join the Our Lady of the Mountains OCDS. Meetings are the second Sunday of each month at St. James the Just Parish, 495 N. Harrison Blvd., Ogden. For information, call 435-734-9646.

Xavier Society for the Blind — is a library that provides spiritual and religious reading materials in the Catholic tradition in braille and audio to the blind and visually impaired. Choir Director Needed — Immaculate Conception Church in Copperton is in need of volunteer choir director and musical accompanists, especially piano/keyboard player and/or guitarist. The choir director is responsible for planning all Mass liturgies,. The accompanists participate in all Masses and practices. For information, contact Fr.
