Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord —Sunday, June 2. In our province the Solemnity of the Ascension of our Lord is transferred to the Seventh Sunday of Easter. Thursday, May 30 is observed as an Eastertime weekday.

Ordination to the Diaconate — Friday, June 7, 7 p.m. seminarian Dominic Sternhagen will be ordained to the diaconate at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC.  All are invited.

Annual Men’s Retreat — Aug. 9-11 sponsored by St. Mary’s Catholic Church of West Haven Utah, under the direction of Father Gustavo Vidal, at its annual site in Bloomington, Idaho. Choir Director Needed — Immaculate Conception Church in Copperton is in need of volunteer choir director and musical accompanists, especially piano/keyboard player and/or guitarist. The choir director is responsible for planning all Mass liturgies, including the weekly 9:30 a.m. Sunday Mass, holy day Masses and special occasions. The director leads the choir during all liturgies, conducts regular practices, and participates as a member of the liturgy committee. The accompanists participate in all Masses and practices. Volunteer at Give Me A Chance — Volunteer in the after-school program, listen to children read for 20 minutes, assist students with homework, participate in play activities. The after-school program runs Monday-Thursday, 3-5:30 p.m. and serves children in grades K-6.
