Chapel St., Layton, beginning with the rosary and mañanitas at 5 a.m. Danzas Aztecas will perform at 6 p.m.; then a procession with roses at 6:45 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 7 p.m., followed by a reception in the social center. Winter Dance Concert – Thursday, Dec. 13 and Friday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. at the Judge Memorial CHS dance studio. Cost: $5; half of the proceeds will go to the Utah Food Bank. The event will feature the Judge Memorial Dance Company, which includes junior and senior student performers.

Pastoral Center Closed — the Diocese of Salt Lake City Pastoral Center will close Friday, Dec. 14 at 11:15 a.m. for a staff luncheon. It will reopen Monday, Dec. 17 at 8:30 a.m.

Las Posadas and Birthday Party for Jesus — nightly at the Saint Rose of Lima Church, 210 S. Chapel St., Layton, starting Saturday, Dec. 15 until Saturday, Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. On Sunday, Dec. 23 at 2:30 p.m. will be Las Posadas, followed by a nativity pageant, then a party for Jesus in the social center.

Blessing Basket donations — St. George Parish is accepting donations for Blessing Baskets to provide Christmas meals for the needy. Donation may be placed in the bins in the church vestibule, taken to the parish office or Our Mother’s Pantry on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9-11:30 am.
