Lenten Mission — Monday-Wednesday, March 19-21 at Saint Rose of Lima Parish, 210 S. Chapel St., Layton. Presented by Fr. Richard Gielow, this will be a time of special grace, personal growth and reflection, with a Mass and mission each day at 9 a.m. and again at 7 p.m., with a social afterward for conversation and questions with the presenter. All are invited.

Lenten Tuesdays — focusing on Bishop Robert Barron’s Catholicism series, with study guide and discussion. 10-11:30 a.m. in St. George Parish’s Scanlan Building. The March 20 session will be “World Without End:  The Last Things.” For information, contact Billie Richardson, 801-971-5478. Free.

School Open House — Tuesday, March 20, 9:30-11:30 a.m. or 1-3 p.m. at The Madeleine Choir School, 205 First Ave., SLC.

Penance Service — Wednesday, March 21, 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 257 North 700 West, SLC. Several priests will be available to hear confessions in English and Spanish.

Chrism Mass — Thursday, March 22, 7 p.m. in the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. All are welcome.

Fish Fry — Friday, March 23, 6-9 p.m. at The Madeleine Choir School, 205 First Ave., SLC. All proceeds benefit The Madeleine Choir School Tuition Assistance Program. Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Council 602 this seven-course meal is $20/adults and $10/children. Lemonade will be provided, but guests are welcome to bring their own beverage of choice.  

Fish Fry — Friday, March 23, 6-7 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1100 East 5550 South, in South Ogden. Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. Parish Dinner and Game Night — Friday, March 23 at Saint Thomas More Parish, 3015 E. Creek Road, Sandy. Cost $19. Doors open and dinner served at 6 p.m., games start at 6:45 p.m.

DCCW Convention Registration Deadline — Monday, March 26. The 2018 convention, with keynote speaker Sheri Wohlfert, will be April 28-29 at the Sheraton Salt Lake City Hotel. To register, contact your parish women’s organization or visit www.dccwutah.org.  

Good Friday Meditation — Friday, March 30, 3 p.m. in the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. The Choir of the Cathedral of the Madeleine will present Stabat mater. Free and open to the public.

Divine Mercy Chaplet Novena — for all the sick and suffering in the community. Beginning Friday, March 30, and continuing through Saturday, April 7, 3 p.m. each day at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 1505 White Pine Canyon Road, Park City. The devotion takes about 20 minutes and is prayed with the rosary. English and Spanish devotional guides available.

Holy Saturday/Easter Vigil — Saturday, March 31. Bishop Oscar A. Solis has determined that the Easter Vigil may not begin earlier than one hour after sunset in the Diocese of Salt Lake City. Check your parish for Mass times.

School Benefit — for Blessed Sacrament School. RSVP by April 1 for the event, which will be Saturday, April 21, 5-11 p.m. at the Living Planet Aquarium, 12033 Lone Peak Parkway, Draper. Benefit Dinner — to help rebuild the homes of 1,000 Iraqi Christians who were driven from their homes in Karamles by ISIS.  Saturday, April 7 at St. Ambrose Parish, 2315 Redondo Ave. Refugees from Iraq will share their experience of being driven from their homes. Divine Mercy Sunday — April 8 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 3015 Creek Road, Sandy. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available beginning at 1:30 p.m. The Divine Mercy Chaplet begins at 3 p.m. followed by Mass with Bishop Oscar Solis as the main celebrant. All are welcome.

Assistive Listening Devices —Up to 20 percent of all people have some degree of hearing loss. The Commission for People with Disabilities assists parishes with the purchase of Assistive Listening Devices so that everyone can hear and understand what is spoken at Mass.
